Unite all to develop your community, says Dr Japisa Mathonsi

Dr Japisa Mathonsi, from Makosha village in the Greater Giyani Local Municipality has urged members of the Lombard Development Forum to spare no effort in uniting the community if the hoped to achieve in their mission to develop the community.

She was speaking at Lombard Village in the Collins Chabane local Municipality on “Unlocking Opportunities.”

She had been invited by Lombard Development Forum, a Nonprofit organisation, to address women and youth on how they can make use of the NPO to develop their communities.

They also asked to address them on different types of cooperatives.

“You are on the right track and I am now part of you,” she said amid ululations.

She said she would work with them closely to achieve their dreams.

“But you have to take everyone on board. Work with the local royalty as well as the ward council,” she said.

The event was attended by many women and youths from the village who hope to do something to drive the wolf away from the door.

Glory Chauke who is the deputy chairperson of the forum said: ”We are happy with her address and we shall hold a meeting next Saturday to implement what she advised us.”
