Young man boon to local community as he donates shoes to learners at local schools

Other business people should take a cue from him

 Local businessman Henry Chavani is certainly boon to the community of Dakari in the Collins Chabane Local Municipality as he made important donations at two local schools.

 Through his Chavani Foundation, he has donated pairs of shoes to local school, namely the high riding Julius high school and Hasani Primary school.

The foundation donated 11 pairs of shoes at Hasani Primary 16 pairs of school shoes at Julius High School.

He also gave motivational talks at both schools.

“The purpose of the foundation is to focus on education, ICT training, health and teenage pregnancy,” he said.

He also helped with assisting the unemployed to apply for employment.

The foundation also donated 27 pads of sanitary towels at Julius High school.

Chavani is assisted by Nsovo Chauke who is the secretary of the foundation Vusani Baloyi who is the coordinator.

The governing bodies of the two schools appreciated the donations.

“The foundation is named after my grandfather and we are determined to assist the community using the name.

The governing bodies of both schools also appreciated the donations.

Local journalist Fihleko Baloyi also praised Chavani for making a difference in the community and called on other young people to follow suit.

Veteran community builder and contractor Edward Chauke said: “I am excited to see a visionary young leader like him in our community and leaners must grab the opportunity with both hands and fly the village’s flag high.”

Julius High received hundred per cent pass rate in last year’s grade 12 examination.
