Collins Chabane Local Municipality acting mayor Shadrack Maluleke brought back Mavikane to the executive

As soon as he took over the reigns at the Collins Chabane Local Municipality following the untimely passing on of mayor Moses Maluleke, the new acting mayor Shadrack Maluleke has made some changes in the executive council.

Soon after his swearing in by magistrate Busi Nkosi, Maluleke announced that he was removing councillor Sydney Thovhakakale from finance to technical services.
Ward 15 councillor Xihlamariso Simon Mavikane who was not in the executive was sworn in as member of the mayoral committee in charge of finance.

Those are the only changes effected so far by the new acting mayor.
Mavikane was the head of the technical services in the previous term.

He previously led the corporate services portfolio in the Thulamela Local Municipality and as an experienced councillor he has worked with three mayors previously, namely Grace Mahosi in Thulamela and Joyce Bila and Moses Maluleke in the Collins Chabane Local Municipality.
