Glowing tributes were paid to the late Hlengani Jackson Nyoni Mandlhazi at his funeral service held at his household at Magona Village Collins Chabane Local Municipality on Saturday. He died on April 24 aged 106. Speak after speaker narrated how he impacted their lives. One of the speakers included Lesley Maluleke who was his grand children born of his daughter Florah. He was a very responsible grand father and wanted to be informed on anything about their lives, Lesley told the big crowd.

He said at one point he went to his grand father and informed him that he had got someone to be his wife and wanted to pay lobola for. The old man asked him how much money he had and after the old man was satisfied that it was a substantial amount, he asked Stewart to bring it to him and the old many touched the money and prayed for it.

This testimony amused the big crowd at the funeral service. One of his daughters said her father taught his children three things namely to love one another , to love other people and to pray. She said there much love amongst her siblings Former Gidjana high school principal Dyson Hlungwani gave testimony about how the old man adopted him as his son and finance his education. He said with his situation of no money at home, he would not have become a professional person had the old man not come to his wife.
