Shayi empathises with Convid -19 positive employee

Mopani District Municipality Executive mayor Pule Shayi has moved fast to wish an employee who tested positive for Convid -19 virus a speedy recovery.
This new development at the Limpopo municipality has seen the offices of the municipality close from today until further notice.

In his message Shayi said he sympathized with the woman.
“I also wish all employees and members of the public to remain calm,“he said.
He also appealed to her colleagues to remain in self-isolation.
Following the test results, the woman is in self-isolation in line with established protocol.

Spokesperson Odas Ngobeni said the municipality is working with key stakeholders to ensure those in contact with her are tested.
The offices have been closed to allow time to disinfect the facilities and do contact tracing as well.

“The employees will work from home until they are advised otherwise,” Ngobeni said.

According to the latest statistics South Africa’s Convid -19 cases have gone past 1000 with 194 deaths.
