Contralesa supports Class of ‘22

The Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa in the Collins Chabane Local Municipality has come out to offer the Class of 2022 support as they sit for examinations.

Grade 12 learners start sitting for examinations today.

Hosi Bohani Shigamani, Contralesa secretary, said the organisation supports the learners as they sit for examinations and called on parents and different stakeholders to support the learners.

“As far as the parents are concerned, we appeal to them to make sure there is an environment condusive to reading. They must make sure there are no parties that would distract the learners from reading, “he said.

He also called on learners to do their best in the examinations.

He said they should desist from malpractices such as copying.

Hosi Shigamani is the same traditional leader who earlier went to Shigamani High School with his cabinet to pledge support for Class of ’22 at the school.

In terms of the pledge the traditional council will assist all learners from the school who pass with transport and registration fee should they make it.

“We have arrived at the decision in order to motivate learners at the village. We are showing that as traditional leaders, education is also our concern, “said Hosi Shigamani.

School principal XB Khumalo expressed her appreciation of the support by the traditional leadership.

Limpopo premier Chupu Mathabatha has also issued a statement, wishing the Class of 22 well in their examinations.
