The South African National Parks has praised field rangers in the park for diligently conducting patrols and supporting conservation operations across challenging and remote areas. The statement from the park comes against the backdrop of a donation of 35 patrol bags donated to field rangers in the Knysna Lakes, Diepwalle and and Harkeville sections of the Garden Route National Park on Monday October 5 2026. The donation came from SANParks Honorary Rangers from the region. In the statement, SANParks said field rangers are doing a crucial job. “Having suitable equipment to carry patrol gear makes their work more practical and efficient as they carry out their important conservation responsibilities. “said SANParks in a statement. It said the donation forms part of the continuing support provided by the SANParks Honorary Rangers across the Garden Route National Park. “Through their involvement , the Honorary Rangers strengthen the capacity of SANParks teams and support initiatives that assist staff working on the ground,’said SANParks.
