Soccer fans around Malamulele area of the Collins Chabane Local Municipality are bracing themselves for a soccer fiesta to remember when the Tinyiko Foundation Pre Season Soccer games gets under way.

The tourney is the brainchild of well-known community builder Tinyiko Shivuri who is ploughing back since he is hosting similar events in North West where he is working.

The tournament was officially launched at Xitlhelani hall last Saturday. The tournament will kick off from December 19 to December 30, and games will be played in four grounds, namely Mapapila, Dinga, Matsakali Sky and Shitlhelani Blue Birds ground.

The man behind the project is Tinyiko Gif Shivuri, who was born in Dinga.

His foundation is working in three province, namely Limpopo, North West and Free State.

As someone who is passionate about development, Shivuri who is working at Anglo American Platinum in Rustenburg started Tinyiko Shivuri foundation for sports,, education and child and youth development.

The foundation will celebrate 10 years this December.

As a result he says that during the finals they will honour some legends.

“We are going to have the finals in style and we shall honour the legends to be announced later,” said Shivuri.

It was announced that senior teams will pay an affiliation fee of R2 500, Masters Top 8 teams to pay affiliation of R3000, Under 11 Boys, R200, Under 13 Boys R300 and Under 17 Boys R400.

There will also be netball teams competing.

The prizes will be as follows:

SENIOR TEAMS

First prize=R100 000

Second Prize= R30 000

Third and Fourth prize=R10 000 each

MASTERS TOP 8

First prize=R20 000
