Hosi Bevhula appreciates Magona – Bevhula partnership
This friendship will pave the way for bufferzone partnership project with the park

This time an outsider Bevhula provided two team, one for men and the other for women.
Both teams from Bevhula acquitted themselves well although both the teams were clobbered in the finals by the winners Magona who were champs and retained championships in both categories.
Hosi Bevhula who attended all the teams featuring teams from his village was over the moon.
“I have a long record of having work with the late Hosi Magona. We also planned the bufferzone partnership deal with the Kruger National Park together. This tournament will bring our communities and going forward it will help with the proposed bufferzone project,” he said
Hosi Bevhula was also proud of his teams’ showing.
The leader of the Bevhula community Hosi Eric Bevhula has expressed gratitude after teams from his area were included in the second annual Hosi Magona tournament in honour of the late Hosi SDW Nxumalo was was also at one point the chief minister of Gazankulu homeland. When it started last year teams from three villages under the Gidjana traditional council, namely Magona, Nghomunghomu and Mashobye were considered.
“Although they did not win the tournament, both the teams played well in reaching the final,” he said.
The chairperson of the organising committee Mr Bernard Manganyi hailed the tournament as a huge success.
He said they have decided to rope in the community of Bevhula because the two communities are together in the bufferzone project.
“Next year it will be bigger be it will celebrate the 50 years anniversary of Hosi Magona as a chief,” he said.
He also thanked sponsors, namely Ethembeni community development project, Zestlife and Sanparks.The event was held on the 30 March. It was a day to remember.
