Newly sworn in Vhembe District Municipality mayor Frieda Nkondo has said she would continue the programmes started by her predecessor Dowelani Nenguda.
Nkondo was today sworn in by Judge George Phatudi as the new VDM executive mayor.

She said as the former speaker, she was aware of the good job done by her predecessor.
Nenguda himself was also sworn in as the new speaker. So it appears it is a case of swapping positions.
Nkondo’s elevation to the helm of the municipality follows on the heels of similar events in Makhado and Collins Chabane yesterday.

At the Collins Chabane Local Municipality Shadrack Maluleke was confirmed as mayor while Dorcus Mboyi was appointed the mayor of the Makhado Local Municipality.
