The chairperson of the Mahonisi Community Development Trust Noel Manganyi has hailed the sacrifices of the late school teacher cum prominent sports personality Bally Manganyi.
Giving a keynote address at the close of the 4th edition of the Bally Tournament on Sunday, Manganyi expressed joy that Bally’s efforts were not in vain.

“Bally lived for the community and we are happy this tournament is doing that, continuing his legacy,” said Manganyi.
Born on March 17 1969, Bally died on November 11 2018 after a short illness, plunging the community into mourning.
But that was before they realised mourning does not help and decided to conceptualise continuing his legacy.
Hosi Mahonisi also expressed his happiness with the tourney and thanked sponsors Chabalala B Attorneys, Rhangani Sand and Zaveni Events and Hire for making the tournament happen.
Tournaments coordinator Mbhoni Manganyi said the tournament provided a real soccer fiesta to the top soccer starved community.
He said he was also delighted everything went on smoothly.
For their efforts Gunners received an amount of R10 000, a full kit and gold medals.
Matsakali as runner ups received R4 000, full kit and silver medals.
The losing semifinalists Madonsi FC and Dakari Tshinwe each received R1000. Each of the four semifinalists also received a ball.
