Lulekani Primary netball scoops the Developing team of the year

The high riding Lulekani Primary School Under 12 netball team has done it again.
The school that beat the odds to become champs at the national tournament in Boksburg has now been recognised by the Limpopo Provincial government.

The school team has now scooped the award at the Limpopo Sports and Recreation Awards.
The school team has won in the category of school sports and won the Most Developing Team of the year award and was presented with a trophy, certificate and R20 000 prize by MEC Nakedi Kekana.
The win comes before the dust could settle after the school was given an award by Prophet VC Zitha, the founder and general overseer the Salvation in Christ Ministry based in Matiko-Xikaya a stone’s throw from Lulekani.

The team is coached by Ms Khomisani Ceko, a member of the church and herself a former crack netball player.
The elated Ms Ceko said the win crowns what was a good year for the team.
“As Lulekani Primary, we are grateful to all who supported us during the year. It is clear we did not disappoint,” she said.
