Mr Post wins big in Munghana Lonene awards
There will always be detractors in life, he says
After his big win in the Munghana Lonene FM awards last Friday night, the artist of the moment Mr Post Ndlovu says that in life there will always be detractors and no one can please all the people at any other time.
“There have been many thorns in my way and I know that even if I succeed there are those who will make my win sour, “he says before adding, “this is life and I will not be deterred but will work harder.”
The artist from Ngove Village in the Greater Giyani municipality was the biggest winner in the 16th edition of the Munghana Lonene Xitsonga Music Awards dubbed #MA16 Vutshila Bhee!
MR Post who has recorded 9 albums in his career scooped four awards on the night.
He had recorded the song saying: Tita jika tikhamera, meaning the spotlight will one day point at his direction.
And this became true on the night with the big win.
“I have always dreamt that a day will come when I will not see other artists wallowing in glory and one day it would be my turn, “he said.
Mr Post won the Best Xitsonga Most popular song of the year with his hit song Ndhambhi.
He also won the Xitsonga Best Album of the Year with the track album also named Ndhambhi and the Best Xitsonga Male Artist of the Year.
He also shared the Xitsonga Best Producer of the Year Award with Prince Rhangani, Joe Shirimani and.Mambawulele.
After the event there was much ado on the event in social media.
His myriad of fans praised him and said he has turned a corner.
However there were many fans of rival; artists who felt their heroes were hard done by.
“I know that in life things are not easy. I have worked hard and my fans voted, “he said.
Such would be expected given the high standard with many good artists having raised the bar high.
All the categories that he won were decided on from the number of votes. It means that Mr Post who works as a painter has now garnered much support and his career has taken a boost.
