Shock as journalist Glacier Nkhwashu dies

Well known journalist Glacier Nkhwashu was today reported dead after she was allegedly knocked down by a truck.

The information could not be verified by the time of going to press but news of her passing dominated social media today.

Well-known author and researcher Dr Freddie Rikhotso and former Sowetan Mpumalanga bureau chief Riot Hlatshwayo who now heads Vision FM’s online news desk wrote about the passing of this talented writer who recently became a traditional healer.

“I lost my big sister and whenever I needed advice, she was always available for me, “said Rivalani Myambo, another journalist.

One of her friends another journalist Bishop Baloyi said he was close to her.
“She even invited me to her ceremony when she graduated as a traditional healer,” said Baloyi.

He said the circumstances of her death worried him.

“She was one of the most talented writers in Limpopo and her death is a big blow to the journalistic fraternity,” he said.

The late journo wrote for various publications and she was admired by all and sundry for her creativity.
