Legendary Mandlhazi, aged 105, to be laid to rest at Magona

Legendary senior citizen Hlengani Jackson Nyoni Mandlhazi, of Magona village in the Collins Chabane Local Municipality, will tomorrow be sent to his final resting place. He died on April 24 aged 106 years. His wife Gavaza Nyoni died on January 27, aged 98, six days short of her 99th birth day. At the funeral service of his wife many community members commended of how the husband and wife changed the lives of many for the better.

They included former Gidjana high school principal Dyson Hlungwani who said were it not for the legendary Mandlhazi, he would not have ended up an educator. He said Mandlhazi adopted him and financed his studies like his own son until he completed his studies and became a teacher.
