The community of Jilongo and surrounding areas are urging The Mighty Revival Church of God to do a repeat, that is organise another funwalk after the successful one dubbed 2025 Walk of Life.
In the event held on June 16, participants walked 7km to Fumani Gold Mine.

Elderly males and females honored the event

Pastor Julia Mabasa says:”It was the first time that we had arranged an event of that nature. But now many relish what happened and feel we must do it again.”

She says many elderly people say the whole thing reminds them about their past.
“From the wellness side of things, it was very successful because healthy bodies are what people want,” she said.

Pastor Mabasa said the church was happy with the response from the community with traditional leader Hosanna John Jilongo and his wife amongst them.
Mr Macebele, known as Nwahuveni says he was also impressed by the response of the male participants.
“Many of those who did not participate are asking when we are going to hold the next one, which talks to how positive is the reaction from the community,” he said.

The church is based at Jilongo Village under the Madonsi Traditional Authority, a stone’d throw to Shigombe Primary school on the Malamulele road to Altein.

It was a successful day
