Do not phone your wife, school principal told

A well school principal who has been charged with conspiracy to kill his wife has been ordered by the court not to contact her either by phone or other means.

Leon Nwandule, 49, a school principal at Marimani High school at Mbhokota in the Makhado Local municipality has also been ordered to move away from the family home where he stayed with his 43 year old wife until the case is finalised.

These were conditioned attached to his granting of bail when Nwandule appeared at the Waterval magistrate’s court on Thursday. Nwandule, from Tana na Pulani area at Bungeni has been charged with conspiracy to murder.

Police say he allegedly solicited the help of a local man to kill his wife for a sizable payment. His wife allegedly got the information and informed the police.

The case was postponed to January 8 next. Police spokesman Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said investigations are continuing.
