The director of the high riding New Era College as well as Madzahisi College in Malamulele Dr Tinyiko Elphas Khosa has urged 20 mechanics on their graduation today not to look for jobs but to become employers themselves. Speaking as the guest speaker at the Vision Automotive Training and Repairs graduation ceremony at Malamulele Community Hall today, Dr Khosa told the newly graduated mechanics that if they wanted to make money in life they should start their own workshops and train people to assist them. “Each one of you should train at least five people to be mechanics and in no time you will see the fruit,” he said. He said he was an artisan himself and he was able to grow and be a successful businessman, “After training more mechanics, you may also start your own school,” said Dr Khosa. He said they should keep close to one another and he may assist them to grow their business. The twenty received Diesel mechanic Trade Test certificates after receiving training from Small Entrepreneur Development and Financial Agency based in Tzaneen. Mr Peter Pilusa who is the managing director of Vision Automotive Training and repairs said he decided on giving mechanics accreditation because he realised they were being undermined. ” I approached the Collins Chabane Local Municipality, particularly the office of Mr Phanuel Baloyi and they assisted me to link up with the mechanics who came for training. The course took three years,” he said. An upbeat Joe Dube, one of those who received certificates said: “I am very excited. The train9ng has held us in good stead and we are also very happy with Mr Pilusa for having brought out a guest speaker who is an artisan himself and made his way up to be a top businessman. We learnt a lot from Dr Khosa. While closing with a prayer wellknown servant of God pastor Lethas Maluleke also encouraged the mechanics to be disciplined and in that way they would become brands,
