Call for responsible behaviour in ANC

ANC leader Namane Masemola tells ANC to behave

The ANC in Limpopo has called on its members to behave responsibly and not make utterances that may cause tensions within the ANC and the community at large.

Speaking in a mini rally at Noblehoek in the ward 1 of the Greater Giyani Local Municipality campaigning for an ANC candidate for the upcoming by elections executive member Namane Masemola said ANC members are expected to talk in the language that beholds discipline of the party as required by the Nasrec conference. He urged ANC members to read the new guidelines of the party that will show what is expected of an ANC leader in the upcoming local government elections.

“It is not going to be easy to be an ANC leader in future, read the guidelines,” said Masemola on the by-elections.

On November 11 ANC candidate Faza John Manganyi will contest against Lawrence Katekani Ngobeni of the EFF. Masemola said if he wins Manganyi is not expected to buy liquor and celebrate ANC victory.

“When you win you come back to this very ground and celebrate with your people drinking water and soft drinks and dancing to music,” he said. A convoy of EFF supporters canvassing for their candidate passed the venue but it was all peaceful.
