The annual race hailed a resounding success

This year’s Masingita Mall’s 4 in 1 Race is hailed a resounding success, thanks to sponsors who included property development mogul Dr Mike Nkuna.
The race drew over 1 400 participants from all corners including the local Giyani area to the entire South Africa and as far as Southern Africa.
In simple terms it was a flagship event.
According to the organisers it increased prospects for qualifiers for major races such as the Comrades Marathon.
Themed, Creating Legacies, it certainly created legacies.
According to the race’s communications department, the build-up encouraged runners who take part in the 5k, 10k, 21k or 42k to create spaces for communities to be part of a shared goal of advancing sporting in rural South Africa as well as townships.
The organisers thanked sponsors particularly Dr Mike Nkuna, Chairman of the Masingita Group of Companies.
They also extended a word of appreciation to dignitaries who graced the occasion including Greater Giyani Mayor Thandi Zitha.
