Limpopo Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba has reshuffled her cabinet, showing three MEC’s the door. Those who have been removed are Violet Mathye, Jery Maseko and Dieketseng Mashego. The three were replaced by three members of the new Limpopo ANC Provincial Executive Council, namely Eddie Maila, Pule Shayi and Constance Kupa-Mabuza. Maila is the new MEC for Health, Shayi for Coghsta and Kupa-Mabuza for Sports, Arts and Culture. Two survivors of the reshuffle Basikopo Makamu and Nakedi Kekana have been given new responsibilities. Makamu is the new MEC for Agriculture, and Kekana is the MEC for Transport. Announcing the reshuffle, Dr Ramathuba said the decision was not taken lightly. “Each member of the previous Executive council worked tirelessly to advance the ideals and goals of this administration. I extend my sincere gratitude to those who served with dedication to make Limpopo a better place for all,” she said. She also had a message to the new Executive Council. “The people of Limpopo are watching and they are waiting for results,” she said.
