The Vhembe District Municipality in Limpopo has invited students from disadvantaged backgrounds to apply for its Mayoral bursary. According to the advent, the bursary is intended to assist students from disadvantaged backgrounds who want to pursue different fields of study at different institutions. “Applications are invited from both tertiary and matriculants. Targeted fields of study are Administration and Management Studies, Engineering studies, Business and financial studies, Environment and Disaster Management studies, , Water and waste management studies, Media studies, Tourism studies, Youth and Development studies, Regional and Town Planning studies,” said the advert. Applications are available from the four local municipalities in Vhembe namely, Collins chabane, Musina, makhado and Thulamela Local municipality. Closing date for the bursary which is meant for only Vhembe residents is january 23 next year. Application forms can also be downloaded from the Vhembe district Municipality website.
