Limpopo rural girl to study in Hungary

A rural lass Nkateko Salane who has been selected to take up a scholarship to study in Hungary is overjoyed.
The young girl who hails from Hlengani Village under the Xikundu Traditional Council says she responded to a Department of Higher Education advert saying there were opportunities for 100 students from South Africa who wanted to study in Hungary.
She applied and was successful.
“I will be doing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Dunaujvaros in Hungary,” she said.
Her father Denis Salane says the family was happy and thanked the Department of Higher Education for affording her the chance.
“She is a well focused girl and we have no doubt she will make a success of her stay in Hungary,” he said.
He said as far as he’s track record is concerned, she has always done her family proud.
She is the product of the high riding EPP Mhinga High in Malamulele and one of the popular learners while at the school.
