Unisa donates 9 computers to Mahonisi community

Well-known traditional leader Hosi Mahonisi has been praised following the donations of computers to schools in his area.
The University of South Africa today donated 9 computers to the community of Mahonisi. In the Collins Chabane Local Municipality
Community leaders in the village praised the local traditional leader Hosi Mahonisi for having facilitated the donation.
Pastor Moses Mtileni, whose school Mahonisi Primary received three computers, praised Hosi Mahonisi and Mahonisi Community Development Trust for assisting the school with computers.
“This is a very good thing, there is no other way, and it will help us a great deal,” he said.
“The computers were donated by the University of South Africa, and thanks to our pro development chief who facilitated it on behalf of the community,” said Pastor Mtileni.
The George Sonto High School also received three computers.
Mahonisi Creche received one computer, the same with Mahonisi community Development Trust.
The Mahonisi Traditional Council office received one computer.
Altogether there were nine computers.
The chairman of the Mahonisi Community Development Trust Mr Noel Manganyi welcomed the donation of computers from Unisa through Professor Risenga.
“The computers will go a long way in assisting the three schools achieve their goals and objectives.
The trust in investing in the education of our youth because they are the future”
Hosi Mahonisi said the trust was representing all structures in the community.
“It is through its collaboration with Unisa that we were able to get the nine computers from the institution,” he said.
He said the computers would assist schools in improving the results.
“We aim to partner with various institutions for the sake of helping in the education of the child,” he said.
