Hosi Bohane Shigamani of the Shigamani community in the Collins Chabane Local municipality has received another feather in the cap with an honour from the Limpopo Department of education’s Vhembe East Central circuit. Ath the recent excellence awards aimed at motivating learners for the exams that are underway, the circuit awarded grade 3, 6 and 12 best performing leaners for term 3. Some learners received certificates while others received certificates and trophies. The three best [performing learners were Mathye Mikhenso from Holy Rosary, Malunga Eneto from Shingwedzi High and Baloyi Vanessa from EPP High. But there was only one special award given to Hosi Shigamani by the circuit manager Maluleke. “He is one traditional leader who is always supporting education and it is time we give credit where credit is due,” said Maluleke. In appreciating the hour, Hosi Shigamani said since it was his birth month, he felt more than honoured. He is one traditional leader who motivates learners at Shigamani high school in nhis area. He also gives motivational talks to learners in many places. Hosi Shigamani is the secretary of the Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa in tCollins Chabane local Municipality.
