Judging from past experiences,thousands of visitors are expected at the West Coast National Park With the 2026 Flower Season underway, visitors are expected to visit the West Coast National Park for the opportunity to experience one of the most spectacular natural floral displays. In a statement, SANParks says it is welcoming visitors from August 1 to 30 September 2026. The annual flower season is hailed as one of the park’s busiest tourism periods and attracts visitors from across South Africa and around the world. According to SANParks, during the 2025 flower season, the park welcomed more than 23 000 visitors during August , while the Postberg section recorded approximately 7 500 vehicle entries over the season. Judging from above, SANParks is looking forward to another successful season.
“Visitors can enhance their experience by purchasing the popular Spring flowers Booklet at the Postberg entrance gate . Developed by the West West Coast Region SANParks Honorary Rangers as a fundraising initiative, the guide assists visitors in identifying the diverse range of wild flowers found throughout the park while contributing towards conservation initiatives,” said SANParks in a statement.
