Salema All Stars romps home
High riding Salema All Stars have emerged victorious in the Collins Chabane Local Football Association Champ of Champs under the aegis Safa Vhembe beating all the stream winners to become the overall champs.
The Champ of Champs tourney was held at Malamulele Stadium and it also featured other stream winners namely Altein Reformed Squad from M’tititi, Mapapila Blue Ribbon and Real Fighters from Mahonisi.
In the competitive final, the Salema lads beat Altein Reformed Squad 4-3.
In the semis, All Stars beat Blue Ribbon by 3 goals to 2 while Reformed Squad beat Real Fighters 2-1.
The association’s president Philbert Ndobe praised all the participants for the high standard.
He also praised the Salema lads for bringing the bacon home.
“All the four teams have earned promotion to the Castle league under the aegis of Safa Vhembe, “said Ndobe.
Incidentally All Stars are from Xikundu where last season’s overall winners are from.
Khadani FC from Hlengani village also under Xikundu Traditional Council has also been promoted to the Castle Regional League also after winning the Champ of Champs.
