Man denies raping a donkey

The man from Roadhouse Village in the Collins Chabane municipality accused of raping a donkey says he was not capable of doing so.
“I have weak erection and it is not possible I could do so,” he said.
He has also told the Shigalo Tribal Court the same and the case was referred to the magistrate’s court after the chief Hosi Shitlhangoma Shigalo said it was outside his jurisdiction to try such cases.
The chief has since died and the case has not been heard as the police are apparently reluctant to take it to court.

The complainant had claimed that he had gone to the mealie fields and says the man climbing down from his donkey and zipping his pair of trousers.

He reported the matter to the local headman and to the civic structures.

I could not have raped the donkey because I have erectile dysfunctioning and it is difficult to get an erection,” he told the court.

But after grilling by the elders he said he was having a live in lover after his wife died in 2004. But he was asked how he was able to keep the relationship alive if he had erectile problems. “She cook for me and the children,” he said.

And there were giggles that reverberated throughout the court room.
